Hi there, Pangaeans!
I'm still alive, internet where I'm at is just insanely weak. I've had a terrible time updating the site and can't even upload the fixed and updated demo. That's going to have to wait until I return home later this week. Until then, if you need me, I can be reached via Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail.
So a couple things: My old laptop that I used to work on the game finally died out on me. It's especially bad since I used it for job-hunting and other day-to-day needs. Good news is I have a new laptop. It's not state-of-the-art. but it satisfies my needs. Only problem is getting used to the different sized keyboard!
As for the game, I was finally able to fix some of the errors I was told about a while back and even get my compressor working again. Turns out it was related to my old laptop dying. Go figure. At any rate, the fixed version 0.2 will be out Friday, which is when I should be back.
Work has been both fast and slow. Story is progressing just fine, but it wasn't until I got this new laptop yesterday that things are finally back in the swing of things. It's been slow as all hell before then and I was getting depressed again over it :/
So why am I away? Long story short, there was a family issue involving a small child, a single mother, and me saving the day to get things in order. No, the kid is not mine and the mother is just a friend. We've been close friends since we were kids (don't get any ideas, shippers!) and we're like siblings so the kid is like an adopted niece to me. I'm just getting done implementing a new order in the household (approved by the homeowners, naturally; I'm not Nazi) and I'll leave once it's established.
Thanks for everyone's patience and sorry about the delay in getting the fixed game out. To new readers, I'm just one guy. There's no team under me so this is as indie as an indie project can get. I'm just grateful for KADOKAWA and the RPG Maker crew for giving out the tools needed to get me started on my dream.
To those already aware of that, your support is appreciated and loved. You guys give me the motivation to keep going. I just hope you all will enjoy it!
