Hi there Pangaeans!
I'm doing my update a little early mostly because tomorrow is gonna have me all kinds of swamped and I want to stay focused. Nevertheless, here's what's been going on.
This week, I took a break from the main story and decided to focus on version update 0.3. After some consideration, I've decided to extend the demo past New Home Town to the first dungeon. That all being said, I'm not gonna put in all the scenes since I want to leave some surprises. Which ones, however, are up for debate.
Against my better judgement, I'm also going to put in 2 more of the heroes's attacks that are acquired later in the game. I haven't had a chance to really fiddle and update the with battle system yet. It's more or less where I want it to be, but the animations are hard to do. I'm saving those for last. I'm not sure which version yet, but rest assured: the finalized version will have enemies go the player and vice-versa. There will be camera switches and special attacks will have players in the enemy side of things, not just standing there on their side while pretty things happen.
Basically, I've been fiddling with 0.3 ideas and the battle system this week as well as the story.
However, I've also been trying to play catch-up on the side with my game, Final Fantasy XIV. There's a collaboration event that ends in a little over a week and I'm dealing with something that has low drop rates and my notorious bad luck at such things. As such, I don't have a lot of time until it's over so I'm putting Korvik's Journal on pause until October 3rd, as I mentioned earlier. I'll post this next week, but it'll be the last time, naturally, since the even ends that following Monday.
I've got a couple opportunities on job leads and following them so far. Nothing concrete yet, but we'll see. Nothing much to report except that.
Going to bed early since I have to deal with a lot of real life stuff and game-related stuff tomorrow. See ya!
