Greetings Pangaeans, I am home at last!
So let's get to the updates. Real life issues have pushed a LOT aside, but in a good way. Fortunately, I finally have some job leads I'm chasing. One could even have me relocate to New York City. Honestly? NYC is great and all for a visit, but I'm a small city kind of guy and I like cool weather, like autumn, not cold weather when winter time hits. Still, give me a good job offer, I'll go there. More on that to come as I learn about it. As for the game, Quarry Town was initially redesigned to be in separate sections, but I realized it was a huge pain and kind of pointless. I wanted to make some items located via a puzzle-like system, but in my tinkering I found a better way to do it besides waiting on load screens. Overall I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. As we speak, the game is currently being compressed and downloaded to replace the one I have now. Hopefully that'll resolve some issues. Finally, it's been long enough that I've started making plans for version 3.0. I'm thinking of expanding it a bit further into the first dungeon, the forest, for folks to enjoy the World Map a bit and have some random battles as well as experience a real boss battle. The escape route provides it as well, but doesn't let you experience the combat of the game. Right now, it's just thoughts and ideas, but nothing definite. I could also just very well leave it where it is. It's gonna take a couple hours, but look forward to the fixed 2.0. Once this is done, I'll get back to doing the next entry of Korvik's Journal.
