Wow, how long has it been since I last wrote on here...?
All joking aside, just letting folks know what I've been up to.
The job situation still sucks. Opportunities are abound, but nothing that can pay the bills, unfortunately. Gotta keep looking. I actually landed in some hot water and found out my EDT card (welfare debit card) never came because the system said I had my old one way back in 2012. I went a month without paying bills or buying groceries. It was looking pretty bad! :( Luckily, the good folks over at the EDD (welfare guys) were able to find out what exactly happened and I'll be back on my feet Monday. Granted I'll be standing on a teeter-totter, but it's better than standing on hot water.
So, in Pangaea-related news, the Revision should cover it, but I further expanded the story and introduced some new characters and completed the story within the first dungeon, the Eterna Forest. I'm hoping to bring in the comedy a bit for this scene. I should also mention not to stress what choices you make in the game. It'll affect the story a bit, but not like something from Mass Effect or Fable. More like back in the day with Breath of Fire or Final Fantasy. They're there for fun and gives Zero a bit more personality than what I had initially wrote out for him.
A friend brought up the idea that I should make a separate page reviewing certain games. Granted, I play a select set, but some folks have been interested on my take of games I've played. When I get some downtime, I think I'll consider it. I need to set up a schedule for that since I have a lot to do already.
Finally, I've been made known about a site that promotes indie game developers on all levels called itch.io. I've decided to open an account there and put my Demo there for people to enjoy and give their input on. Yes, I'm aware that site sells their products as well, but as I've said I've no intention whatsoever on making the Demo anything but free. As for when the full game is released, I'm still kinda torn, though I'll make up my mind when Part 1's story is complete. I'll also make up my mind then on whether to make the game a 2-part game or one big one. I'm kinda leaning on making it a two-parter. I have no use for a trilogy. If there will be a part 3, it'd be DLC-style that'd last maybe a few hours. I have a couple short story ideas but honestly, I really don't have any interest on expanding past Part 2. If it goes well and folks call for it, we'll see. It's thanks to you all that it's gotten as far as it has!
Thanks again, everyone!
