Hello hello Pangaens!
First off, thanks for everyone's support on reading Korvik's Journal! It's just something I'm doing for fun, but I'm glad you guys are enjoying it too! Because of how the latest entry, The Emissary, ended, I'm giving it about a week off before I start the next Mission just to give it that "time passes feel." Kinda need to do some leveling and armor upgrades too as well as other side-quests and job unlocking quests.
By now, I'm pretty sure you're wondering why I don't describe the fight scenes in more detail or the exploration as well. One reason is it's a story, not a strategy guide. I'll explain the layout, but I won't go into too much detail since I want new players to enjoy the game, should they choose to play. As for the fight scenes, everyone has a favorite job. Be it the basic Warrior or Black Mage to the newest Rune Fencer or Geomancer, I'd rather readers use their imagination as Korvik goes through his journey. For me, I already decided what job Korvik is (and to FFXI veterans, the sub-class system takes no mention whatsoever, so don't overthink it. It's just the main job) and he stays this way throughout the story. When the final entry is made, I'll reveal everything about Korvik.
So that's enough of that, what about the main game? Rest assured, I've been busy and unfortunately, my PC's updates just made things busier for me. After finding an issue with one of the battles, I wanted to run a test on my laptop. I use a program called Enigma, but it doesn't work anymore for reasons I can't figure out yet. This will set me back on any Demo version updates. It's probably something minor I haven't figured out yet. As for the game itself, I'm redesigning Quarry Town. At first I liked it, but then I realized it was too small and some of the locations were just plain bad. Some of the main locations have stayed, but for now, I'm starting over because of how bad it was :/
This leads to my next announcement. End of December 2016 no longer seems viable due to my job situation as well as these setbacks I keep coming across. So for that reason, I'll be pushing the date back to Spring 2017, approximately April. This may change, but I need the leeway to make sure I'm not making a rushed product.
Thanks for reading!
